Swain came to Austin prior to this season to play for Sean Miller, who was his head coach at Xavier.
"Cincinnati to Austin ... what a ride," Swain said on his Instagram page in announcing his decision Tuesday.
Players have until May 27 to decide whether to stay in the draft or return to college, which follows several on-court pro scouting events and the NBA combine in May.
Swain was an All-SEC pick in 2025-26. He averaged 17.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game at Texas.
At 6-foot-8, Swain is capable of defending multiple positions. He shot 34.4% from 3-point range and scored mostly as a slasher.
The 20-year-old enters the NBA draft process with a first-round grade.
