This Is The Carnage Of A 26-0 Prep Hockey Game
Notre Dame Academy (Wis.) played Manitowoc (Wis.) in hockey Monday. It was not even close.
Notre Dame Academy battered Manitowoc, 26-0. The Tritons scored 17 goals in the first period, eight in the second, and eased up for just one in the third. Notre Dame Academy outshot Manitowoc 112-3. And they were all on one goalie! Poor Evan Brandt. He made 86 saves for a .768 percentage. Please don't quit hockey because of this, Evan. Stick with it.
The turning point of this game was the first goal scored by Notre Dame Academy. But really, Manitowoc's Alec Seguin received a major and game misconduct for checking from behind. The Tritons proceeded to score seven goals on one power play, giving them a 700% success rate on power plays for the game.
On the other side, Tritons goalie Zach Krysiak stopped three shots for the shutout. Five different Notre Dame Academy players had at least three goals. Two players finished the game with at least eight total points. Every skater on the Tritons' roster had at least a point, except for sophomore Hunter VanDuyse. What the hell, Hunter? This is your best chance to produce. Poor hustle.
Manitowoc United falls to 0-2, after losing its first game, 15-0 to De Pere (Wis.). Why are they so bad? They're coming off of a three-year hiatus. Chin up, guys.
