White Sox 3B Yoan Moncada out 3-6 months
Chicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada will be sidelined 3-to-6 months with a left adductor strain.
The White Sox placed Moncada on the 10-day injured list Wednesday.
In a corresponding move, the White Sox recalled outfielder Oscar Colas from Triple-A Charlotte.
Moncada, 28, was injured running to first base in the second inning of Tuesday night's game. He left the game and was replaced in the lineup by Nicky Lopez. Lenyn Sosa moved over from second base to play third. Moncada was 1-for-2 with a run when he exited.
He's batting .282 with four runs and a .364 OBP in the early going.
Colas, 25, hit .216 with five home runs and 19 RBIs in 75 games with the White Sox in 2023. He's hitting .321 in eight games at Charlotte.
