White Sox reinstate OF Andrew Benintendi from bereavement list

In other moves, Chicago placed rookie left-hander Tyler Schweitzer on the paternity leave list and recalled left-hander Tyler Gilbert from Triple-A Charlotte.
Benintendi, 32, was placed on the list Tuesday. He is batting .244 with 13 home runs and 65 RBIs in 116 games this season, his fourth with the White Sox.
Gilbert, 32, has made four appearances with the White Sox (one start) this season and has no decisions and a 17.18 ERA in 3 2/3 innings. He was 5-2 at Charlotte with a 4.64 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 33 innings over 20 games (four starts).
Schweitzer, 25, is 1-0 with one save and a 3.64 ERA in 29 2/3 innings over 14 relief appearances for Chicago after making his major league debut on April 8.
