Michigan led 48-30 at halftime on the way to winning its fifth game in a row.
Shaena Brew scored 13 points for Akron (1-8), which is 0-5 in road games after committing 28 turnovers.

Cotie McMahon's 24 points and 11 rebounds boosted the Rebels in the runaway outcome at Oxford, Miss.
Ole Miss (9-1) received 18 points and 11 rebounds from Latasha Lattimore and 13 points from Christeen Iwuala. McMahon shot 10-for-18 from the field.
Toni Warren's 15 points and Queen Ikhiuwu's 14 points were tops for Wofford (4-6), which was 1-for-8 on 3-pointers and outrebounded 53-27.
