World No. 7 Jack Draper said Monday that he will sit out the remainder of the season due to the left arm injury that forced him to withdraw during the U.S. Open.
Draper, from Great Britain, has been bothered by the injury since the spring.
"Hi guys an update from me ... Unfortunately, the injury to my arm is something I have to rest and means I'll be sitting out the rest of 2025," Draper wrote on social media. "It is very difficult for me to accept as I was building some incredible momentum this year and playing some great stuff. However I've been through this before ... and I always come back stronger as I'm so motivated to fulfil my potential as a player."

Draper also played in mixed doubles at the U.S. Open with Jessica Pegula as his partner. The duo lost in the semifinals to Norway's Casper Ruud and Poland's Iga Swiatek.
Draper won the BNP Paribas Open this season for his third career singles crown. He beat Denmark's Holger Rune in the final at Indian Wells.
Draper's best Grand Slam result was at the 2024 U.S. Open when he lost to eventual champion Jannik Sinner of Italy in the semifinals.
