Major League Baseball said in a statement that Chisholm was being punished for "his conduct, including his violation of Major League Baseball's Social Media Policy for Major League Players" on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Chisholm will appeal the suspension and will play Friday against the Rays.
Chisholm was ejected from Thursday's game for arguing balls and strikes with home plate umpire John Bacon. An apparent ball four below the strike zone was instead called a third strike.
From the clubhouse, Chisholm wrote on X, "Not even (expletive) close!!!!!" before deleting the post.
Chisholm, 27, was acquired from the Miami Marlins before the 2024 trade deadline and has batted .243 with 17 home runs, 34 RBIs, 22 stolen bases and 41 runs in 65 games in a Yankees uniform. That includes a .169 average this season with six homers and 11 RBIs through 19 games.
