An Estimated 20 Bikes Crashed Near The End Of Today's Tour de France
No crash is a good crash, but the worst crash might be when a lot of riders are packed tightly together in a narrow space, as they were just before the finish line of today's Stage 12, which went from Fougères to Tours.
The leaders were just a few bike lengths ahead of the pileup. It's not known how many riders sustained serious injuries, but Norway's Edvald Boasson Hagen—a Team Sky teammate of overall leader Chris Froome—did fracture his right shoulder and is done for the Tour.
