Associated Press: Oklahoma City Thunder Sign Brian Westbrook And The Guy From 27 Dresses, Serge Ibaka Excited To Play Them In Olympics
Oklahoma City Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka will be playing for the Spanish national team at this year's summer Olympics. Today, the Associated Press published a relatively mundane story about Ibaka's belief that his Spanish team has the talent to compete with the U.S. team.
There were, however, two hilarious typos buried within the AP's story, in which Russell Westbrook is mistakenly named as "Bryan Westbrook," and James Harden is identified as "James Marsden." "Bryan Westbrook" is most likely supposed to read "Brian Westbrook," who is a former Philadelphia Eagles running back. Typos on top of typos! And we all remember James Marsden from his sterling portrayal of the X-Men's Cyclops.
The AP article appeared on Yahoo! Sports with the typo, but the version on ESPN.com was amended.
Here is a screenshot of the paragraph in question, for when someone finally gets wise and realizes that James Marsden does not play professional basketball:
