Austin FC sign Polish winger Przemyslaw Placheta

Mandatory Credit: Dustin Safranek-Imagn Images Austin FC signed Polish winger Przemyslaw Placheta on Tuesday through the 2028-29 season with an option for 2029-30.
The 28-year-old free-agent addition is eligible to make his MLS debut when Austin FC return from the World Cup break on July 22 at home against the Seattle Sounders.
"I'm really excited to begin a new chapter of my career in Austin," Placheta said. "I can't wait to make my debut and do everything I can to help the team make a push in the second half of the season. I also hope to use everything I learned during my six years in English football to help the team and make a positive impact in MLS."

Placheta spent the past six seasons in England with Norwich City, Birmingham City, Swansea City and most recently Oxford United, where he tallied six goals and four assists from 2024-26.
