Bills Tell Fans To Call Domestic-Violence Hotline For Ticket Refunds
With Jets-Bill being moved to Monday in Detroit, snowbound Buffalo-area fans are naturally concerned about getting their refunds. The Bills put up a post on their website listing their options, and told fans to call a number with any questions. It was not the right number.
Information on the Bills Website instructs ticket holders to call 1-877-228-4357.
But that's actually the phone number for a domestic violence crisis center in Ohio, which has been receiving a barrage of calls from Bills fans.
The center is asking people to stop calling the number because it needs to keep its lines open for people who need their services.
The post went up around 7 p.m. yesterday, and had been uncorrected as of an hour ago, so the wrong number was up for nearly 16 hours.
The Bills have finally corrected the phone number, which was a single digit off. The actual number Bills fans should call is 1-877-228-4257.
