Detlef Schrempf and White Wine: Well, now that I’m commenting up a storm, here’s what I’m thankful for: - Being a masochist, I’m thankful that I get to watch the Lions play tomorrow for the first time all year since moving out of Detroit. - Continuing on the masochism theme, I’m thankful that since moving to Boston, I am constantly enveloped in all that is Massholery on a daily basis. Furthermore, since I enjoy being bitter, the success of the local sports teams is just one more reason to be grateful. - I’m thankful that the myth of Boston being a “racist” city is just an unsubstantiated rumor. How can the city be racist when its only affluent white people?! - Finally, I’m thankful that in these trying times, I still own a house in arguably the most economically depressed area in the country. Go big 3! That’s it. I genuinely feel sorry for that guy from Seattle. At least he’s looking at the bright side of things.
