Kevin Garnett's Already Intimidated One Of His New Teammates
Kevin Garnett hasn't yet played a game with the Timberwolves after getting traded last Thursday, and rookie Zach LaVine is already scared of him. That was quick.
LaVine, who was born in 1995—the same year Garnett was drafted—now has K.G.'s former locker. He offered to give it back, but Garnett didn't want it, instead choosing to take the one next to LaVine so he could sit there. Observing. Waiting.
From the Pioneer Press:
"This is his locker and I'm actually kind of scared because I think he is going to say something about me being in his locker," young Zach LaVine said.
Flip Saunders, who coached Garnett when he was originally with the Timberwolves, is extremely happy to have the 38-year-old back on his team. Garnett is one of two players over 30 on the team, so all the babies have to listen, or they might have their phone dropped in a toilet.
"As one of our veteran guys told our young guys yesterday, 'Hey, listen, when KG walks in the locker room your phones better be tucked away, because if they're not, they're going to get thrown in the toilet on game night,' " Saunders noted.
Oh, you want to check your tweets in the locker room? Boom. Your phone just got a Big Ticket straight to the toilet.
