Falcons Lose After Blowing Lead On Point-After "Pick-Two"
After trailing the Chiefs for most of the second half, the Falcons finally took a 28-27 lead on a touchdown with less than five minutes left in the game. Atlanta chose to go for a bigger cushion by trying a two-point conversion. That turned out to be disastrous, as Kansas City’s Eric Berry intercepted Matt Ryan’s pass and ran it back for two points, once again giving the Chiefs a lead.
By the game clock, the Falcons held that lead for exactly zero seconds, but it will live on forever in their hearts, buried under regret. They lost by that one point.
