Here's The Hit That Knocked Robert Griffin III Out Of The Game
On third and goal from the three yard line Robert Griffin scrambled and then took a brutal shot to the head from Sean Weatherspoon near the sideline. Griffin III remained on the turf for a few moments and was eventually helped off the field.
Griffin sat on the bench and appeared to be treated for a bloody lip, and then was taken to an observation area beneath the stands behind Washington's bench. After several minutes, Griffin came out and walked slowly to the locker room with members of Washington's training staff, and team doctor Anthony Casolaro. The Redskins announced Griffin's status as "shaken up, questionable to return."
Uh, yeah. "Shaken up." Things aren't all bad for the Redskins, though. Kirk Cousins came in and promptly threw a 77 yard touchdown to Santana Moss.
Update 4:25 p.m.: So much for being "shaken up." Griffin III did not even know what quarter it was after he got hit.
