Hurricanes ink F Mark Jankowski to 2-year extension

The team announced Monday it has signed forward Mark Jankowski to a two-year extension worth $3.7 million through the 2027-28 season.
Jankowski tallied 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists) over 68 games in his first full regular season with the Hurricanes, who acquired him in a trade with the Nashville Predators in March of 2025 in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. He also has one assist in eight playoff games this season, which Carolina has won all of to reach the Eastern Conference finals for the third time in four seasons.
Jankowski, 31, has 145 career points (79 goals, 66 assists) over 482 games for the Calgary Flames (2016-20), Pittsburgh Penguins (2020-21), Buffalo Sabres (2021-22), Nashville Predators (2022-25) and Hurricanes.
