Want to ensure you never get outrebounded? Just follow Illinois State Redbirds forward Jackie Carmichael's lead. There was almost no chance Carmichael would not come down with it, but almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
So to make his rebounds no-doubters, Carmichael has developed a strategy of just kicking whoever is in a three foot-ish radius of the rebound and clears the area out. He always gets the ball, but it usually comes with a flagrant foul, so...nevermind. Don't kick anyone in basketball.
Update: As has been pointed out, Illinois State wound up losing the game because of the flagrant call after being up 67-60 with 41 seconds left. Two free throws and three later Wichita closed the lead to 67-65 and then a steal on the next possession gave them the lead for good, 68-67. So, really don't kick anyone in basketball.
