Kevin Stallings To Heckler At Louisville Game: "At Least We Didn't Pay Our Kids $100,000"
Photo Credit: Timothy D. Easley/ [object Object] Pittsburgh coach Kevin Stallings responded to a heckler at the end of tonight’s blowout loss to Louisville with a nice topical reference to the FBI sting that caught the Cardinals funneling $100,000 to former top recruit Brian Bowen:
When asked after the game to elaborate on his comment, Stallings conceded that he “probably said the wrong thing” and was only standing up for his players, declining to elaborate much further:
Personally, I think “At least no coach of ours has ever claimed public humiliation at the hands of Papa John” would have been more effective than “At least we weren’t caught paying our players in exchange for their labor,” but whatever.
