Key Witness Says He Told Joe Paterno Jerry Sandusky Did Something "Extremely Sexual In Nature" In Shower With Boy
Penn State assistant coach Mike McQueary was the first witness called this morning at the preliminary hearing for Tim Curley and Gary Schultz, which is taking place right now in Harrisburg, Pa. Curley, Penn State's on-leave athletic director, and Schultz, the school's former senior vice president for business and finance, are both charged with perjury and failure to report abuse. McQueary, the prosecution's star witness, has already testified that he witnessed "Jerry molesting a boy" and that he told Joe Paterno the next day he had seen Sandusky doing something that was "way over the lines" and "extremely sexual in nature."
McQueary has privately told people different versions of his story, but he has now testified twice under oath that he witnessed Sanduky engaged in a sex act with a child in 2002, and that he described it to Paterno the next day in explicit terms.
