Leeeeet's Get Ready to Spar!
Oscar de la Hoya and Steve Forbes are set to face off at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, for some reason that nobody can quite explain. I'm not about to turn down a chance to see one of the sport's greatest competitors fight a weak opponent, but in a year that's been packed with incredible matchups it's not exactly momentous. If you need to get caught up on the boxing scene, check out Large's latest at The Sporting Blog.
Follow along in the comments if you're watching at home, I'll be back on with any crucial updates and an eventual result. The bet of the night is going Over on the round total of 9.5 at roughly 2/1. Forbes has always been game, and Oscar isn't in his prime either, but he shouldn't have problems stopping the challenger before the night gets too far along. Afterall, this is just a warmup for the Money rematch.
