Nashville SC acquire Ghanaian D Maxwell Woledzi

Nashville SC acquired Ghanaian defender Maxwell Woledzi from Norway's Fredrikstad FK on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old center back is under contract through the 2028 season with an option for 2029.
"Maxwell is a tremendous player and leader who will be a great addition to our club. We are excited to be able to add him to our group for the 2026 season," said president of soccer operations and general manager Mike Jacobs.
Woledzi made 88 appearances at Fredrikstad from 2023-25, winning the Norwegian Football Cup and making the Eliteserien Team of the Year in 2024 and earning club Player of the Year honors in 2025.
Woledzi previously played for Denmark's FC Nordsjaelland (2020-22) and Portugal's Vitoria SC B (2022-23).
