Pelicans-Magic preseason contest canceled due to Milton
Traffic on northbound I-75 through Sarasota was heavy Monday afternoon as Florida residents prepare for the expected arrival of Hurricane Milton. Friday's preseason game between the host Orlando Magic and New Orleans Pelicans was canceled due to Hurricane Milton.
The contest will not be rescheduled, the NBA announced on Wednesday.
Orlando has preseason games remaining Wednesday at San Antonio and Oct. 18 at home against Philadelphia.
New Orleans' remaining preseason tilts are at Miami on Sunday and at Houston on Oct. 15.
