TNT's Halftime Show Addresses The Donald Sterling Story
The response on TNT's halftime show to Donald Sterling's racist remarks was pretty consistent across the panel: Sterling should be suspended by the NBA.
Shaq started off the segment saying the NBA had to look long and hard into suspending him. Barkley, rightly pointing out that this is habitual behavior, said "[Sterling] has to be suspended." He continued, "[w]e cannot have an NBA owner discriminating against a league that—we're a black league, Ernie. We are a black league."
Kenny Johnson basically agreed with Chuck.
Ernie Johnson—who seemed to be really pushing the group—had the strongest words at the end of the segment, stating that (assuming it is Sterling's voice on the tapes) there was no place in the league for a guy like Sterling.
