Vulcan Mascot's Decision To Light A Homecoming Float On Fire Was Highly Illogical
A California University of Pennsylvania—huh—student who plays the school's Vulcan mascot has been charged with setting fire to a homecoming parade float last Saturday.
California police—who are in Pennsylvania in this instance—allege that James Shaffer—who plays the school mascot—set fire to a float that had broken down during the homecoming parade. He faces charges of arson, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and my personal favorite, "risking a catastrophe."
School officials are out in front of this one:
Cal U spokeswoman Christine Kindl said the school is treating the incident as a "private medical matter" and said Shaffer is being evaluated.
"Right now, our main concern is for his health," Kindle said.
Concerned for his health, and thankful people stopped talking about the fatal shooting that happened over the weekend for a few minutes. Variety is the spice of life in California. California University's mascot nabbed for arson [Pittsburgh Live]
