Wimbledon champ Barbora Krejcikova WDs from Australian Open

Also on Sunday, former World No. 1 players Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark and Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic also withdrew from the tournament.
"Hi everyone, I wanted to share a quick update regarding my withdrawal from the Australian Open," Krejcikova, a Czech, wrote on social media. "Unfortunately, my back injury, which troubled me at the end of last season, is still not fully healed. It's really disappointing because I love playing in Melbourne and have such great memories from reaching the quarterfinals last year."
Krejcikova, 29, will be replaced in the draw by Nuria Parrizas Diaz of Spain.
Wozniacki, the 2018 Australian Open champion, withdrew from the upcoming tournament for unspecified reasons. She was replaced in the draw by Yuliia Starodubtseva of Ukraine, while Canada's Rebecca Marino took the spot of Pliskova.
The main draw of the Australian Open runs from Jan. 12-26.
