You will perhaps not be shocked to learn this took place in Fresno, the Florida of California. (Sacramento is the Ohio.)
Two men were shot at the close of Sunday's NFC championship. According to the, Amado Vargas, 39, "was described as a 'new' 49ers fan and was being taunted by people in the house." He allegedly grabbed a knife, had it wrestled away, then retrieved a gun from a safe.
"Alcohol was obviously a factor, and they started giving him a hard time after the loss of the 49ers. He took it personal, grabbed a knife, which then escalated to him grabbing a gun and firing rounds within the residence," said Sgt. Kevin Lolkus with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
Two men were treated for leg wounds, and Vargas was arrested upon arriving at the hospital with a stab wound. He's charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
