obsess much over Derek Jeter ? all these years he really has been fucking up I guess. He shouldn’t have been such a great player and more importantly he really should have tried to add so much more of the train wreck approach to his life that so many others have. Shit he might have done something really important like hit an inflated number of homers like David Ortiz or been in line for a hip replacement before the age of 40 like Alex Rodriguez. I’ve seen guys with worse mechanics and less athletism go on to become pretty good NFL QB’s. I’m not religious by any means and most of my friends think I’m pretty much a socialist, that being said Tebow seems to put his money where his mouth his when it comes to his faith. His various trips to impoverished countries for example. If I have a problem with many of his critics is that they seemingly would prefer that he not even get a chance to become an NFL caliber qb. He’s getting the same chance many others with less ability and less previous accomplishments have gotten, and I find it amusing that someone like Chris Carter would take so much time away from his day job, defending Randy Moss from his latest tank job or felony, to so consistently question why Tebow is getting this opportunity ?

It’s not that you hate Tim Tebow, you would just prefer it that he be into some other useless religion or maybe black ? you’re so enlightened. Here’s the deal, I’m not religious, a Bronco fan and I probably don’t do the same stuff for fun that Tim Tebow does. That being said, what those guys on the Lions did was fucking lame. In fact it’s the type of behavior that gves creedence to every lame bigot out there that thinks all black pro athletes are nothing more then trash talking thugs. We don’t have a problem when Barry Sanders kneeled to thank God or when Deion Sanders or Michael Irvin preach about finding God. Tebow seems charitable enough and also seems like a decent person, if anything we should be hoping that he does well.
