Paul Ryan's Fantasy Football Team Must Suck
Photo: [object Object] Rep. Paul Ryan, Speaker of the House and a man who definitely has an Ayn Rand quote poster taped to the ceiling above his bed, met with NFL players Tuesday in Washington, D.C. to discuss race and police issues. They took a nice photo together:
No offense to Anquan Boldin, Josh McCown, Andrew Hawkins, Malcolm Jenkins, and Glover Quin, who are fine people for taking their free time to try and help the communities around them, but they are not going to win anyone a fantasy football game. Assuming Ryan plays in a league with IDPs, Jenkins and Quin are decent options, but that offense is going to struggle.
As has been documented in the past, Ryan’s efforts to connect with sports fans always come off as contrived, like that time he thought Texas A&M fans would root for the Longhorns if the Aggies were eliminated. The alternate explanation is that Paul Ryan is telling the truth and does indeed roster McCown, a quarterback owned in 1 percent of Yahoo leagues, which would put the speaker’s decision-making into question. This man is second in the U.S. presidential line of succession, after all.
