Report: Chris Christie Gives Up Dream Of Being A Terrible Sports Radio Host For Now
Photo: Mike Stobe/ [object Object] Anyone who had hoped to one day call Chris Christie on the radio and tell him he’s a corrupt piece of shit will be sorely disappointed to learn that they’ll have to settle for tweeting at him, as the outgoing governor of New Jersey will not pursue an on-air gig at WFAN.
Christie’s statement, via NorthJersey.com:
“After considering the other options that I have been presented with for post-gubernatorial employment, I declined their request to do additional shows. I made station executives aware that while I would be happy to continue to fill in for Boomer when asked and when available, that they should no longer consider me as a candidate interested in any job at WFAN when I leave the governorship. I made that clear to them prior to leaving for my family vacation two weeks ago.”
Christie, whose second term ends in January, had auditioned at WFAN in July. One caller told him to “put your fat ass in a car” and go to a beach “open to all your constituents,” to which Christie replied by calling the listener a Communist.
